MOTIVATION

Why I run............. Mainly because I have a 'Can-Do' attitude, a priority on strength of trust, willpower, stamina, and a determination to go the distance, no matter what.

I completed my first Marathon in  November 2009 in New York at a time of 4 Hours, 54 Minutes and 4 Seconds.  It was the hardest thing I had ever done, it stretched my athletic ability but most of all I learned so much about myself. It tested my mental capacity and taught me not to quit.  I look at running Marathons as the most important life changing event of my life.  The lessons learned are invaluable.  It makes me who I am today. My friends, my choices in food, my healthy life style and my need to set and achieve goals are all an end result of running. It has taught me that you don't need to WIN, but you must try, because getting to the START line is most important.

My beliefs have influenced me to set goals, always try and not quit. I'm so honoured to have picked up running.................... and to be called a 'Marathoner'
